Voyager Bar

HOSPITALITY INTERIOR · FUNCTIONAL BAR · INTEGRATED SERVICES

A fully operational barista and wet bar serving hundreds of people daily. Built to the visual language of a science-fiction game world without compromising on hospitality performance or durability.

CONCEPT

The Voyager Bar sits at the centre of the atrium, forming the studio’s primary social space and supporting events of up to 250 people, alongside the adjoining Voyager Lounge seating.

The brief required an accurate translation of its in-game counterpart while operating as a fully equipped barista station for daily use and a wet bar for events throughout the year.

DESIGN

Detailed renders and in-game references informed the external form, while the internal layout was engineered around real-world hospitality requirements.

The bar houses fridges, freezers, dishwashers, sinks, coffee machines and grinders — all integrated without compromising the external appearance.

Suspended above, a large cantilevered canopy derived from the game design reinforces the bar’s presence within the atrium, incorporating integrated planting and detailed panel work.

REALITY

The completed bar is used daily by hundreds of employees, with the illuminated stone bar top becoming a focal point for both casual use and events.

The project demonstrates that a faithful visual translation can also perform reliably within a high-use working environment.
