Cloud Imperium Games: Gamescom
Trade-show installation · Interactive furniture · Game-world replication
Twelve game-world replica desks with integrated PCs, built for sustained public use at Gamescom in Cologne. Transportable, durable, and accurate to the source material.
CONCEPT
The trade stand required ten individual gaming stations alongside a longer shared desk to accommodate gameplay, streaming and interview activity.
All furniture needed to replicate in-game assets precisely, translating digital forms into physical structures for public interaction.
DESIGN
The desks were developed to balance visual fidelity with operational requirements. Technicians required accessible integration of PCs and cable routing to support rapid setup and maintenance.
Given the intensity of use across the event, the structures were engineered for durability, transportability and repeated deployment across international shows.
REALITY
Twelve desks were delivered to Cologne for Gamescom, forming the central feature of the stand and supporting continuous use throughout the exhibition.
Purpose-built transport crates enabled safe movement and storage between events. The crates later became reusable assets within the client’s offices.
