Hublot
Design Prize Awards
Temporary exhibition · Artist showcase · Event installation
Annual design awards hosted by Hublot, bringing together emerging artists for exhibition and judging at the Serpentine Gallery.
-
Finalists in the Hublot Design Prize gathered in London to exhibit their work as part of a single-evening event at the Serpentine Gallery.
Ten artists required a constructed environment that allowed their work to be presented clearly and reviewed directly by attendees and judges.
-
The programme allowed a tightly constrained build and strike window, with restricted site access. The installation was assembled in approximately six hours and removed in under three.
Each artist was allocated equal space, with flexibility to accommodate large or unconventional works. Some installations required integrated screens, others plinths or framed displays. Exhibition graphics were printed directly onto the structures, requiring accurate production to represent the submitted imagery faithfully.
-
The installation was delivered across multiple years at the Serpentine Gallery, providing a consistent framework for the awards.
Freestanding structures accommodated two artists per unit and framed their work within a restrained black-and-white aesthetic aligned with the brand. The format allowed guests to move easily through the space and engage with the exhibited work without congestion.
